Learning About Myself

I’ve written in the past about the things I’ve learned early on in my process of knowing myself better. I’ve written more about it here.

I’m so grateful to have found coaching and to love what I do.

In the process of doing what I do, I have the immense opportunity to learn more and more about myself. Here are the things I’m staying focused on right now:

Every day I can choose to be calm, relaxed, and naturally myself.

Every day I chose to believe in myself 100% and to honor the commitments I make to myself.

Every day I choose to show up for myself and for the people in my life.

I accept the 50/50 of life. The contrast between positive and negative, the necessity of experiencing both. I understand I will not be any happier in the future than I choose to be now.

I can make a conscious decision not to worry. I understand that I fear uncertainty and the unknown and this awareness helps me overcome my anxiety.

I can do hard things. I can continue to lose weight (25 pounds so far, yay!), to be an entrepreneur and coach, and to build my business.

I embrace discomfort. I’ll feel discomfort no matter what, so I choose to feel the discomfort of reaching my goals rather than the discomfort of not.

The worst that can happen to me is a feeling (like feeling humiliation, shame, grief), and I have the self-confidence to handle any situation and any emotion.

I no longer need or desire perfection as a way to control situations in my life.

I’m aware of my habits and patterns. When I worry, blame, judge, and buffer I’m trying to avoid and resist my emotions and I choose not to do that any longer.

I allow myself to just feel it. However I feel, it’s okay, I’m learning not to judge myself. I’m becoming more aware of why I feel it. I don’t indulge in my emotions by telling myself I don’t know what I’m feeling, I don’t have control, or by not taking responsibility for myself.

It’s my life purpose to understand myself, my intentions, what’s getting in my way. The secrets to me and unlocking my best life.

I choose not to be in a rush, or to hurry through my life.

I practice love and compassion for myself and others every day.

Every day I choose to feel joy and gratitude.

Wishing all the best to you!

Best from jamie
