Are you at a crossroads?
Is it something like this?:
You’ve been feeling stuck for awhile. Being a designer doesn’t excite you like it once did because you want to do meaningful work. You want to work with people you can learn from. You want to feel good about going to work every day. You’re exhausted from working too much leaving you without any energy or time to think about your future.
With so much uncertainty in the world and so many unknowns, you know now is the time to take a closer look and finally get clear about your future and what you really want to do.
Are you on the right path? You don’t know. You don’t know what to do next. There’s a part of you that thinks you should be able to figure this out on your own but so far it’s not happening!
I get it. I’ve been there!
I’m Jamie Cavanaugh. I’m a certified life coach, designer, entrepreneur, and former design educator and I was in a similar place as you are now.
Over the years, I expected that my future would become clearer but as a entered the next phase of my design career what I discovered was it actuality got murkier. I felt lost, unfocused and no longer felt I was giving enough priority to what I valued or connected with my real purpose.
I loved teaching designers but my work focused less on what I really liked to do — connecting with designers and creatives to guide and support their future goals.
I was spending too much of my time doing work that wasn’t meaningful to me.
What do you really want to do?
I remained stuck until I asked for help. Finding help changed my life!
I found the help I needed and hired a coach, it made all the difference. Working with a life coach really opened my eyes, it was different than anything I ever experienced before. I learned I was struggling because of the beliefs I held about myself and my life. It felt like removing a veil to see clearly what was really going on.
My coach helped me work through the thoughts and feelings that were holding me back from being who I wanted to be and doing the work I really want to do. I needed to give myself permission to be myself.
